StarBak Encoder - CREATE
Many companies have sought to assist customers with the management and delivery of video content, but most businesses struggle first with how to allow users, their employees, to easily create video content in an ad hoc and informal way. This "democratization" of video is empowering, viral and can transform a business. StarBak has created a simple video creation tool - the StarBak Conference Engine - that simply and affordably converts any videoconferencing endpoint into a video capture and publish point. Its simple "click to record" and "click to stream" interface allows even non-technical users to quickly get on the road to creating content. In addition, the StarBak Encoder allows video to be introduced from any source, such as a TV, DVD player, VCR or camcorder, accommodating multiple bit rates and various input formats.

StarBak Manager - MANAGE
Central to the StarBak Integrated Network Video solution is the ability to manage the devices, content and users that make up the system. The StarBak Manager is a content portal application that provides viewers, publishers and network administrators with a rich application environment for acquiring content, publishing it live or on-demand, controlling access and installing and managing devices. Unlike stand alone content management solutions, the StarBak Manager is completely integrated with the rest of the StarBak solution, right out of the box. No integration is required on the part of the customer to immediately begin creating, managing, delivering and displaying their rich media content.

StarBak Delivery Node - DELIVER
The Delivery Node works behind the scenes to allow the video applications to scale as required to support the business objectives, WAN bandwidth limitations and network topology of the enterprise. The Delivery Node is a Windows Media and HTTP delivery device that can be used alone or in a complex hierarchy of devices to provide optimum delivery and economic advantages. This appliance provides full, on-demand and broadcast support for unicast stream splitting, unicast-to-multicast and scheduled rebroadcast, using a single inbound stream. It transparently delivers the Encoder and Conference Engine content to remote users for live events and on-demand replay. It has passed strict Microsoft certification tests and is fully licensed and authorized by Microsoft. The Delivery Node is available in a rack mount configuration for data center environments and is also available in a compact footprint for branch office deployments.

StarBak Display Engine - DISPLAY
One of the desires we hear from our customers is that video content and messages delivered by their video communications platform be accessible to everyone in the organization. This necessitates that employees and users located in cafeterias, manufacturing floors, lobbies and hallways have access to video displays. In some cases, our customers have deployed TVs connected to cable infrastructure, along with satellite delivery systems or services, to achieve this objective. These systems end up isolated from the rest of the streaming infrastructure, and carry a very high cost of ownership. StarBak again offers a solution that leverages the customer's underlying IP network to provide a system for seamlessly delivering video to hundreds or thousands of plasma screens, LCDs or TVs located in high traffic areas throughout the business. The StarBak Display Engine is a small form factor set top box that drives content to these displays according to a playlist it downloads from the central application. Another application of this display system is Digital Signage (also called "Narrowcasting") - the delivery and display of retail advertising content or signs that can be changed simply and frequently to target shifting demographics, regions or customer demands.
