CAPE COD TURNS TO VIDERÉ FOR VIDEO, AUDIO AND WEB CONFERENCING PROJECTS

Cape Cod Community College's New State of the Art
Distance Learning Classroom; Cape Cod and Falmouth Hospitals Upgrade Their Legacy Systems

August 9, 2005

Quincy, MA.Videré Conferencing, New England's leading provider of video, audio and web conferencing solutions, announced today that they completed projects with some of the leading community organizations on Cape Cod including Cape Cod Community College (CCCC), Cape Cod Hospital and Falmouth Hospital.

Videré is a full-service organization that manages every aspect of the conferencing project, from best practices consultation, to product selection, custom installations, training, maintenance and support. Videré has established partnerships with the conferencing industry‚s leading suppliers in order to provide their customers with the best products on the market today. Videré is able to offer best-in-class technology tailored to meet any application, requirement or budget. No other conferencing supplier has both the breadth of product offerings and Videré‚s experience to implement them.

At Cape Cod Community College, Videré built a state-of-the-art distance learning classroom in the Wilkens Library. Videré selected a Cisco 3000 system with IP and ISDN capability that provides superior audio and video quality as well as powerful presentation capabilities that are so critical in a learning environment. The room also includes a large projection screen, multiple plasma displays and complete in-room presentation functionality. CCCC uses the room for courses with other Massachusetts public higher education institutions, including UMASS, as well as private schools as Suffolk University. With their enhanced capabilities, CCCC is planning to re-initiate video conferencing with Martha‚s Vineyard and Nantucket.

According to Greg Masterson, Director of Library Services, "Cape Cod Community College employs a broad variety of digital technologies in both traditional and distance learning courses. Videré is a key partner for us as we continually look to enhance our distance learning program."

At Cape Cod and Falmouth Hospitals, Videré replaced aging legacy video conferencing equipment with state of-the-art Polycom room systems and desktop software for additional applications. The technology is primarily used for Continuing Medical Education, Grand Rounds and administrative meetings between the two hospitals. The hospitals also use the technology to communicate with other hospitals within the Partners Healthcare system.
